How well is your Doctor of Chiropractic educated?
Many people are unaware or misinformed about the education of Chiropractic Doctors. The Chiropractic Doctorate program currently holds pre-requisite requirements of 60 to 90 credit hours. This stipulation is shared by medical schools. Conversely, most Chiropractic colleges now require a Bachelors Degree prior to beginning the Chiropractic Doctorate program, something that Medical schools do not always require.

In addition to the education received in classroom and clinic, Chiropractors are required to have a minimum of 12 hours per year in continuing education (C.E.). This allows them to maintain the Chiropractic licensure and stay current. Examine the chart below, many are surprised to see that D.C.s receive 237 more hours than M.D.s.
